Frequently Asked Questions

Toho Bikes Electric Bike Tours and Rentals FAQ

1. Where do we meet to pick up the Trikes / Bikes?

At the time and date of your reservation, your bikes and/or trikes will be brought out to the East Lake Toho trailhead located at 1009 East Lakeshore Blvd. in Kissimmee, Florida.

Location is not staffed with people or bikes until shortly before your reservation.

No walk-ins are available.

2. What is the biggest group size you can accommodate?

We can currently accommodate up to 6 e-trike, 6 e-bike, 4 adult pedal bike, 2 child pedal bikes and 2 tow-behind child carriers for a maximum all ages group size of 22.

3. What should I bring?

Expect lots of sunshine so bring your favorite sunscreen. Also wear comfortable, cool clothes. If you are planning on swimming at the beach or using the free splash pad, then bring some swimwear and water shoes. Restroom facilities are available at the lakefront to change.

4. Do I need to pedal?

Yes, local and state regulations no longer allow fully electric bikes with throttles. All of our electric bikes and trikes are Class 1 e-bikes, do not have an operational throttle and require pedaling to operate. The e-bikes have 5 levels of pedal-assist power for speeds up to 19 mph. The e-trikes have a single level of power and will assist to speeds up to 15 mph.

5. Can I go fishing?

There is a free fishing pier on the East Lake Toho route. If you have booked a 3 or 4 hour tour, there is some time to go fishing. Bring your own rod, reel and bait. You will need a fishing license. You can get a 3 day license from the state of Florida for $17.

6. Are group discounts available?

Due to our limited fleet size, we are not able to offer any group discounts at this time.

7. Can I bring my own bike?

The short answer is probably. All of the trails are open to the public. The East Lake Toho location has private parking for our guests and friends only, but the lakefront park has free, public parking.

If your bike or trike is pedal powered only, then you can ride freely on any of the multi-use trails in Kissimmee and St. Cloud.

If you have an electric bike or electric trike, they have to be Class 1 e-bikes with no throttle control. They can only operate in pedal-assist mode and must be Florida Class 1 legal. Florida requires each e-bike to be labeled with class and power.
